Loren Williams will be the guest speaker at our Feb. 4th., 2012 Banquet and Expo. In 2005 he was selected as the team's first fly tier. In 2007 Ihe was selected as an angling member, a role he proudly continues to maintain. He has decades of experience on many of Lake Ontario's tributaries.
Events
Connecticut Fly Fisherman's Association, Inc is the host and participate in several events throughout the year. The Monthly meetings for members and Board of Directors are scheduled from September to May every year. In February there are no membership meeting because the club is hosting the yearly Expo and Banquet . You do not have to be a member of CFFA to attend the membership meetings, Expo or Banquet. You will find CFFA members at several fishing, hunting and sportsman shows in the New England area. We demonstrate fly tying and rod building and it's a great place to meet members of the club and chat about fishing in the off season. We have some great classes where you can learn fly tying from beginner to advanced for salt or fresh water fishing. If you are new to fly fishing or just need to refresh your fly fishing form, check out the fly fishing classes. You can take the fresh or salt water fly fishing class with the knowledge that there is always something new to learn. Custom build your own rod in the rod building class learn how to create your own work of art. You will have the pride of fishing or showing of the rod you built yourself. Don't expect it to be perfect fist time around but compare rod number 10 with that first rod and see how far you have come and how good it feel to accomplish the art of rod building.
