Featured Speaker - Carl Ochnio

Topic - “Fishing the Streams and Rivers of Southwest Colorado.”

Carl will share his experiences fly fishing the streams and rivers of Colorado for the past 50 years. Over fifty years ago, Carl started fishing the rivers and streams of southwest Colorado while working at an outdoor adventure program located in Durango. He loves the region, looks forward to visiting it each summer, and is excited to share his experiences and observations. The presentation will feature personal photos and video footage from his trips, spanning the early 1970s through 2026.

Carl Ochnio, a retired higher education administrator and writer, is an avid fly fisherman based in Connecticut. His articles have been published in outlets such as Dark Sky Fly Fishing Magazine, The Complete Fly Fisherman, The Trout Bandit, CT Fly Fisherman's Association, Thames Valley Trout Unlimited, and The Pagosa Springs Journal.

All CFFA meetings are free and open to the public.
